InspireMyKids curates inspiring and motivational stories, videos, activities and poems for kids and the adults in their lives with the goal of motivating children and teens to make a positive impact in the world. They have a pretty good website, plenty of stories and other content, but they were not ranking very highly in the search engines for appropriate keywords. Being on a somewhat modest budget, they signed on with Ker Communications to do on page SEO, and a few modifications to the WordPress based website. This is a great example of a site that really only needed on-page optimization and a minor amount of link building. Reorganization of categories, tags, some improvements to the site’s functionality and navigation in addition to “the usual” optimizing titles, meta descriptions and so on made a big difference. It didn’t take very long for the improvements to boost the number of visitors they get from organic search traffic.
